Where: King Georges Park, Wandsworth SW18 2GJ
We are delighted to announce the installation of floodlights at King Georges Park, in the heart of Wandsworth.
All Star Tennis, which manages 28 courts on Wandsworth Common, Tooting Common, King George’s Park, Wandsworth Park, Furzedown Rec in Tooting and Leader’s Gardens in Putney, have invested over half a million pounds in improving the facilities.
Having spent the best part of 2017 resurfacing 19 courts across the borough, the newly installed floodlights provide much needed additional playing opportunities for Wandsworth residents.
All Star Tennis began working in the borough in 2002 when it began managing the courts on Wandsworth Common. In 2013 it teamed up with another tennis provider Will to Win and took on the other five venues in a partnership which has see participation levels rocket by 80 per cent.
“This is fantastic news for the people of Wandsworth, All Star are delighted to bring you superb new floodlit courts in the heart of the borough and welcome you to a wide range of friendly year round tennis opportunities” Ben White, Co-founder of All Star Tennis.
Along with an action packed programme for everyone from 3yrs and above if you book a floodlit court before the end of February you will receive a free court voucher to use at a venue of your choice before 31st March 2018.
Following the latest government announcement it is now possible to play doubles on the All Star Tennis courts.
We are currently organising our Summer Term programme to ensure it can launch safely with new measures in place to start from the 15th June and will be in touch with all players already booked as soon as we have further details about this.
